International Week 2023 – University of Peradeniya - The Inauguration Ceremony

The International Relations Office, University of Peradeniya organized International Week 2023 to expand international collaborations, expose university students and staff to international educational opportunities, strengthen its international presence in higher education, and enhance its global visibility to emerge as a key hub for knowledge and learning.
This week was held from 27th November– 01th December 2023 in collaboration with the Assistant High Commission of India in Kandy, the Japan Embassy in Sri Lanka, Japan International Cooperation Agency Sri Lanka Office, Postgraduate Institute of Sciences, Sri Lanka Japan Study Center, and the Center for Environmental Sustainability.
The Inauguration ceremony of the international week was held successfully on the 27th of November 2023 with the participation of Excellency Bonnie Horbach, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands to Sri Lanka, Dr. Athira S., Assistant High Commissioner, Assistant High Commission of India, Mr. Stefan Winkler, Director of the Goethe Institute, Prof. Yuansong Wei, From the Chinese Academy of Science, China, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya, the Deputy Vice chancellor of the University of Peradeniya, the Deans of the faculties, Directors of Postgraduate Institutes, Prof. C.N.R.A Alles, Director, International Relations Office, University of Peradeniya, the Heads of the Departments and the management committee members of the International Relations Office, University of Peradeniya.
H.E Prof. Janitha Liyanage, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation, H.E. Andres Marcelo Gonzalez Garrido, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba for Sri Lanka, Madam Maria L. Popova, First Secretary of the Russian Embassy in Sri Lanka, Rectors and Vice-rectors of the partner universities participated in the Inauguration ceremony via zoom.
