Explore Fully Funded Training Opportunities in India under the ITEC Scholarship Scheme (2025–26)

The Indian Technical & Economic Co-operation (ITEC) program, offered by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, is now accepting applications for training programs scheduled from June to August 2025. These programs provide excellent opportunities for skill development and capacity building, especially for professionals in various fields.

Each training program typically offers two slots to ensure continuity. In case one candidate drops out, the second candidate may be immediately approved as a replacement to ensure proper utilization of the available slots. Selected participants will receive comprehensive support throughout their training in India.

ITEC Scholarships Cover the Following:
  • Round-trip airfare from Colombo to the training institute in India
  • Full course fees
  • Accommodation during the training
  • Living allowance of INR 1500 per day
  • Emergency medical assistance during the course
  • Approved study tours

All interested applicants must register and apply online through the ITEC portal at: https://www.itecgoi.in/meaportal/registerApplicant .

After online submission, applicants must print their form and submit it to the Department of External Resources of Sri Lanka with all necessary supporting documents. A medical certificate from a government hospital confirming the applicant’s fitness to attend the training must also be included.

Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Please ensure your application is submitted at least 10 days before the course start date.
