A meeting with the Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellor and Deans of Faculties was held on 25.04.2025 at the Senate Room. The event was coordinated by Prof. SanjeewaMalaviarachchi, Director/International relations of the University. The discussion was mainly focused on scholarship offerings from Pakistan, Faculty exchanges and establishing a memorundum of understanding with the University of Peradeniya..

A delegation from the Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress visited the University of Peradeniya and the Joint Research and Demonstration Centre (JRDC) on 22nd April 2025.

The delegation was led by Mr. Zhang Quan, Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress (SCSMPC), and included Ms. Yan Rui, Member and Vice-Secretary General of SCSMPC and Vice-Chairperson of the Legal System Committee, Mr. Wang Linhua, Vice-Chairman of the Education, Science, Culture and Public Health Committee, and Mr. Cheng Minji, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Division.
