Information Session on ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents for Masters and PhD Studentship

The information Session for ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents 2023 was conducted on 19th December 2022 at the JRDC Auditorium in collaboration with the China-Sri Lanka Research and Demonstration Centre for Water Technology (JRDC), International Relations Office (InRO) of the University of Peradeniya (UOP) and Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).
The ANSO Scholarship has been announced by the Alliance of International Science Organization (ANSO), China for international students for the year 2023. The Scholarship programme supports students who want to study abroad, domestically, or internationally. The scholarship is available for candidates from the fields of science and technology. Students who are aiming for master’s and doctoral degrees in China can apply for the scholarship.
The information session was conducted with the participation of Prof. Yuansong Wei, Director of the Laboratory of Water Pollution Control Technology, Research Centre for Eco-Environmental Sciences (RCEES), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Dr Yawei Wang, Research Centre for Eco-Environmental Sciences (RCEES), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and representative Professors from Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr Shan Fu, Department of Education, Research Centre for Eco-Environmental Sciences (RCEES), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Ms. WANG Zhongxiu, ANSO, and Mr. HUANG Dingcheng, Director, International Student Office, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences participated for the session through zoom. Dr. SK. Weragoda, Director (Covering up), Prof. SHP. Parakrama Karunaratne, Senior Professor, University of Peradeniya, Prof. CNRA. Alles, Director, InRO , University of Peradeniya, Prof. Shameen Jinadasa, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Academic staff members of the University of Peradeniya, Staff members of the InRO and the students interested in postgraduate studies participated in the program.
