Education Expo 2023 – University of Peradeniya In Collaboration with Higher Education Commission of Pakistan

The International Relations Office (InRO), University of Peradeniya organized an Education Exhibition on the 2nd of March at the Postgraduate Institute of Science (PGIS) in parallel to the EDEX Expo which was conducted from 24-27 February 2023 in Colombo and March 4-5 in Kandy. The Education Exhibition was conducted in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and the Postgraduate Institute of Science with the purpose of sharing the opportunities for postgraduate studies in Pakistan and the scholarship opportunities offered by the Pakistan Higher Education Commission.
Mr. Jehanzeb Khan, Project Director, Pak-Sri Lanka Higher Education Cooperation Programme of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan participated in the event. Mr. Jehanzeb Khan was accompanied by Mr. Afzal Marikar, Honorary Consul of Pakistan, Pakistan High Commission in Colombo, Miss. Kalsoom Qaiser – Press Attaché of the Pakistan High Commission in Colombo, Mr. Muhammad Waqar Khan – Project Manager of Pak-Sri Lanka Higher Education Cooperation Programme, Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, Dr. Zain ul Abdin – Advisor (Foreign Students Affairs) of the University of Agriculture (UAF), Faisalabad, Prof. Dr. Syed Amir Iqbal – Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering, NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi, Dr. Tayyaba Amir – Director Admissions of the DOW University of Health Sciences, Karachi, Ms. Sanam Soomro – Director Quality Enhancement Cell of the DOW University of Health Sciences, Karachi, and Dr. Shabana Gul – Assistant Professor of Hospitality & Tourism Management, Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences), Peshawar.
The delegates were welcomed by Prof. HMTGA. Pitawala, Director of the PGIS. Prof. MD. Lamawansa, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya, Prof. Sarath S. Kodithuwakku, Deans of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. PG. Anil Pushpakumara, Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, Prof. CNRA. Alles, Director, InRO, the management committee members of the InRO, Academic staff members of the University of Peradeniya and students participated in the event.
