Japan International Cooperation Agency and The University of Peradeniya on Short Term Certificate Course on Japan's Modernization (JICA CHAIR Programme)

JICA Chair Programme was initiated at University of Peradeniya with the Collaboration of Sri Lanka - Japan Study Center.
The Programme will Comprise of seven short intensive lectures implemented as web based seminars on Japan's development experiences, in the fields of politics, economics, public administration, law and others, executed outside the regular curriculum of the Universtiy of Peradeniya and implemented in line with the JICA CHAIR initiative of the JICA.
The JICA CHAIR agreement was signed by Prof. Upul B. Dissanayake, Vice Chancellor and Senior Representative of the JICA Sri Lanka office on 19th July 2021 at the Vice Chancellor Office, University of Peradeniya. Prof. S.H.P. Karunaratne, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Shameen Jinadasa, Director, International Relations Office, Dr. Jagath Gunatilake, Director, Sri Lanka-Japan Study Center, Prof. Susiji Wickramasinghe and Dr. Shyamantha Subasinghe took part in the occasion.
