Talk on “Nanostructures Enabled Direct Communication to Living Cells”

The International Relations Office, University of Peradeniya together with the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), organized a talk on “Nanostructures Enabled Direct Communication to Living Cells” on 05th March 2021 which was conducted online via ZOOM. The resource person for this programme was Dr. Yuhong Cao, a research Professor at the National Center of Nanoscience and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

This programme was moderated by Dr. Damayanthi Herath Dept. of Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, who introduced Dr. Cao to the audience.

Dr. Cao discussed about the cutting-edge research that focused on overcoming the current drug delivery barrier by applying micro-nanotechnology for in-vivo/in-vitro biomedical applications, which was followed by an interesting Q and A session.

Many interested participants including staff and students joined in this programme.
