Main Ceremony of International Week 2025.

The Main Ceremony of the International Week 2025 was successfully held on 27th August 2025, from 8.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. The event was graced by the presence of H.E. Isomata Akio, Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka, who attended as the Chief Guest.
The highlight of the ceremony was a keynote presentation delivered by Ambassador Isomata Akio, followed by an engaging Q&A session with the audience. The keynote addressed timely issues and provided valuable insights on international relations, academic exchange, and collaborative opportunities.
The program also featured special sessions on academic opportunities for students and staff. These were conducted by Dr. Patrick McNamara, Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission; Ms. Nimaya Manude, Regional Officer of DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), Colombo; and Mr. Paul Rochelemagne, Director of the Alliance Française de Kandy. Their contributions highlighted pathways for international education, scholarships, and academic mobility.
The Main Ceremony served as the central event of International Week 2025, bringing together diplomats, academics, students, and university staff to celebrate international collaboration and exchange.
