The fifth session of Japan’s Modernization Program

The fifth session of Japan’s Modernization Program was held on 12th January 2022 successfully in Hybrid mode, with the collaboration of JICA, Sri Lanka Japan Study Centre, and the International Relations Office of the University of Peradeniya. The fifth session was on Economic Growth and Japanese Management
and Prof. N.S. Cooray, the current President of the Sri Lanka Academic Association in Japan (SLAcJ) and Professor at Graduate School of International Relations, International University of Japan joined as the resource person while Prof. Malaka Ranthilaka moderated the session.
The session was conducted with the participation of Prof. C.N.R.A. Alles, Director, International Relations Office, University of Peradeniya, Dr. Jagath Gunathilake, Director, Sri Lanka Japan Study Center, and Dr. Shyamantha Subasinghe, Coordinator of Japan’s Modernization Program. More than twenty-five students participated in person while more than 120 students participated online for the programme.
