Pre-Conference Webinar No. 4 – “COVID-19; The Global Pandemic” was held on 28th April 2021, as the fourth webinar of the series of pre-conference webinars organized by the iPURSE Committee, together with the International Relations Office (InRO).

Two eminent resource persons, Prof. Sriyal Malik Peiris and Prof. Neelika Malavige shared their valuable ideas and expertise at the session. Prof. Sriyal Malik Peiris, Chair of Virology, School of Public Health, University of Hong-Kong, delivered the first talk on “Where Did It Come from and Where Is It Going?”. The second talk on “The Magic Bullets to End the Pandemic” was delivered by Prof. Neelika Malavige, Professor and Head, Department of Immunology and Molecular Medicine, Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. The panel discussion was moderated by Prof. SAM Kularatne, Senior Professor and Professor of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya. Around 75 participants joined the webinar.
